Norfolk Resilience Forum Online Learning Offer

As we move into the winter, community resilience is going to be vital. The Norfolk Resilience Forum (NRF) exists to provide information to warn and inform about emergencies. They have resources and guidance on their website. This  includes an e-learning module on  ‘Introduction to local resilience and response in Norfolk’.  This has been produced to develop and enhance integrated emergency management knowledge.

The Norfolk Resilience Forum (NRF) provides information to the public to warn and inform about emergencies. Their aim is to make people aware when there is a risk of an emergency. Furthermore they seek to show what NRF’s planned response will be. They also seek to provide information and advice as necessary at the time of an emergency.

Community Action Norfolk (CAN) and Voluntary Norfolk (VN) through their attendance of the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sub-Group of the Norfolk Resilience Forum, provide a VCSE infrastructure link into this planning forum.

Lucy Hogg, Director of Voluntary Sector Infrastructure, at VN said:

“With news of potential black outs happening over this winter, now feels like an important time to refresh our VCSE preparedness for emergencies. The Norfolk Resilience Forum website is a good resource in understanding emergency response and planning, and includes an e-learning module on  ‘Introduction to local resilience and response in Norfolk’ e-learning,  which takes about 45 minutes to complete and has been produced to develop and enhance integrated emergency management knowledge.
