Understanding DBS Checks – Eligibility Criteria

September 10 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Are you responsible for DBS checks within your organisation? Then this is for you!

During this workshop you’ll learn about Eligibility Criteria. We’ll cover:

  • What level of DBS check a role may be eligible for
  • What each level of checks shows
  • The update service
  • Filtering rules
  • What counts as regulated activity with children and adults
  • And other safer recruitment practices.

As a safeguarding organisation, the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps to protect the public by supporting employers to make safer recruitment decisions and by barring individuals who pose a risk to vulnerable groups from working in certain roles.

As the regional outreach advisor for the East of England, Georgie works across the region with a number of different organisations to further understanding of the DBS and assist with any queries related to this.

As a counter signatory Registered Body, CBR Business Solutions supports businesses and charities with meeting legislative compliance when applying for DBS checks. We offer Basic, Standard and Enhanced checks online and a Standard and Enhanced paper-based service.

You can find out more here.

This course will take place online via Microsoft Teams.
