Capital grants of up to £10,000 are available for community organisations supporting people in the rural areas of the Borough of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. The deadline for applications is midday on Weds 2nd August.
The Fund provides capital grants to community organisations in the rural areas of the Borough of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. Projects should have the overarching objective of providing resilient community services and assets for local people to benefit the local economy, address the challenges of rural isolation, support social cohesion and boost local pride. There will be 2 years of funding.
Essentially, there are 2 years of funding available (only year 1 is open to apply for at the moment, but people can start to think about year 2 projects) for groups in rural areas of West Norfolk. This is for them to purchase capital items or carry out capital building projects which will provide resilient community services and assets. The first year of funding aims to support projects that will increase capacity for volunteering and social action. This could be through installing a ramp for disabled access to a building, or purchasing equipment necessary for volunteers.
