ECP Steering Group
The role of the Empowering Communities Partnership (ECP) Steering Group is to guide the Partnership’s strategic direction and inform its priorities and activity. To support this role the Partnership aims to provide:
- A safe and supportive space to encourage openness, respectful challenge and accountability.
- A chance for cross-sector relationship building to enable collaboration.
- Opportunity to ensure the needs of Norfolk’s diverse VCSE sector are represented in ECP’s sector support offer.
- Accountability to the sector through greater transparency around priorities and funding.
Membership:
The Steering Group will comprise ECP partner leads, representatives from Norfolk County Council, and 2 – 3 other Norfolk-based VCSE organisations, representing a breadth of size, geography and scale.
We are inviting representatives from across the Norfolk VCSE sector to apply via Expressions of Interest (EOIs). These will be reviewed by the ECP partner leads and we will set up informal meetings with those candidates who best match the role description (see below).
How to apply:
Applications are now open for Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
Are you passionate about Norfolk’s Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprises (VCSEs)? Do you have strong connections with other VCSEs and a good understanding of the issues they face? We’re looking for ‘experts by experience’ in Norfolk’s VCSE sector to join the ECP Steering Group and help shape the future of Norfolk’s VCSE infrastructure.
Steering Group members will play a vital role in guiding ECP’s strategic direction, championing VCSE voices, sharing insight from their networks, and acting as a critical friend to support a strong, responsive infrastructure offer. You’ll help influence priorities, review impact, facilitate two-way communication and strengthen cross-sector collaboration.
We’re seeking people with strong sector knowledge, lived or professional experience of community challenges, excellent connections across VCSE networks, and a commitment to integrity, transparency and collaboration.
Please read the below Terms of Reference and Role Description and use the form below to write a short EOI. If you require any of the documents in another format, please get in touch.
