Social Enterprise Day 2024

Social Enterprise Day aims to raise awareness and understanding of social enterprise and to support social enterprises to make some noise about the difference their business is making!

Social enterprises are businesses which trade for a social or environmental purpose – there are more than 131,000 of them in the UK, with a collective turnover of £78 billion and employing around 2.3 million people! They contribute to reducing economic inequality, improving social justice and environmental sustainability.

FUSE Norwich used the day to bring together potential social entrepreneurs with established Norfolk social enterprises to connect, explore opportunities and learn what it’s like to run or work in a social enterprise!

FUSE would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us! It was inspiring to see so many passionate people come together to learn about the world of social enterprise and to hear firsthand from local social entrepreneurs about their journeys.

A special thank you to Tom Gaskin, The Shoebox Enterprises CIC, Bianca Tye, Your Own Place CIC, Gemma Harvey-O’Connell, The Feed, Sarah King, The Matthew Project and Natalie Tayte, The Village Orchard East CIC for sharing their experiences.

Thanks also to BIPC Norfolk for hosting us in their wonderful space and to the Empowering Communities Partnership for their support in making this event possible.
