FUSE – Supporting Social Enterprises in Norwich

FUSE Norwich is one of the Empowering Communities partners. Norwich was awarded Social Enterprise Place status in 2021. FUSE was established to drive this vision forward to build a thriving social enterprise sector in Norwich.

By joining with EC partners, as part of Norfolk’s sector support offer, we can bring our expertise of running successful social enterprises to the VCSE across Norfolk.

Join us, as we launch our FUSE support programme in partnership with Empowering Communities. This will be on on Tuesday 18th July from 5-7pm at the beautiful pavilion at Waterloo Park. It will be a great opportunity to learn innovative ways of capturing social impact to evidence the change you are making in your work, and network with peers locally.

FUSE support programme for the social enterprise sector

You will hear from inspiring speakers, meet others facing similar challenges and take away practical ideas to help you in your impact journey. You will hear from the founder of Breadwinners. They are the winners of a social impact award at the UK Social Enterprise 2022. They will talk about their innovative participatory approach to demonstrating the impact of their work selling artisan bread and supporting young refugees in work. Breadwinners worked with young people on their programmes, training and paying them a wage, to lead the research into the impact of Breadwinners programmes.

We will also have a range of panellists from local and regional organisations. They will share their views and innovative approaches to social impact evaluation. We will have the chance to discuss good practice and challenges. You’ll also find out how to appeal to the priorities of different funding bodies in impact work. There will also be plenty of time for networking with drinks and snacks. Finally there will be the chance to input into the development of FUSE’s support offer going forward.
